In addition to its simplicity, something that characterizes - it is his freestyle
He paints only when he feels like to do so, unlike several artists who feel the pressure of producing a large number of pieces in a short time.
Björn is at his pace and calmly, which is undoubtedly reflected and transmitted in each one of his works.
The gallery I am in on East Houston Street in downtown San Antonio asked me in October 2014, "Bjorn, we need you to paint a Bluebonnet painting... " I told them I do not paint any Bluebonnets. There are a zillion artists in Texas painting Bluebonnets, the State flower of Texas...besides that is not the way I paint. Most of my images are coming from the inside. I don't set out to paint anything specific, it just comes. For me to paint something so specific like Bluebonnets was a challenge - also because the gallery told me to do it better than anyone had ever done it before. But, they kindly added do it your way...This Bluebonnet painting is not like anything you have ever seen, It is totally unique in the Texas Bluebonnet world. And there is a great number of people who have seen strokes of Monet in this painting. It is an acrylic painting on canvas 30" x 15" with sides 1 1/2". The sides are also painted.
